IMAC Dalton 300 ml build thread.

On my 200 I use two Fiji bottles. One for each carb. It's kinda nice to help with tuning. You can see if both sets of cylinders are using the same amount of fuel. I do run my back set just a tad richer.

thanks to all who have joined and for all the nice comments. well, my Friend Karl just sanded down my motor mount and drilled some large holes thru the center to shave some weight off of it. i will go to the shop later on and then weigh it. before he sanded it down, this morning, i did do a trial of the fit with the motor mount. seems that the prop hub will extend out the front of the cowl front area by maybe 8 to 10 mm.

i did cut out two holes on the bottom of the fuselage, but i will need to do many many more. this was just to see where my canisters rear dump will exit. looks like i will need an extension to the canister muffler exit area to clear the bottom of the fuselage by maybe 1 to 2 inches or so.

next step will be to make the mounts for the canisters and then finish cutting out the holes on the bottom, then i will make the vent dams.

Gordon, are you still running the dual tanks on your Dalton? also, how is your 200 working for you?

i just found out that on the other web forum, they are blocking my ability to post the link to this thread.

then, i found out, they are blocking my ability to even PM the link to my RC friends.

i have a set of comfort mounts for the KS canisters, and i am trying to figure out how to install them. been looking at other threads out there, but cannot get a good idea on how to make mine. when i spoke to tony, he made it sound like the mount would come in from the side of the motor box. i will try to do a trial and post pics to see what you all think. i may have to take the dremel and create a gap on that right side of the "tunnel" area, so that it does not touch the can.

I used the KS mounts on my 126, harder to install but the work really good. I'll look for some pictures
