Next up, I installed the fuel system, throttle linkage, and choke rod. uploadfromtaptalk1382884012794.jpguploadfromtaptalk1382884039229.jpguploadfromtaptalk1382884066084.jpguploadfromtaptalk1382884109146.jpguploadfromtaptalk1382884132444.jpguploadfromtaptalk1382884293318.jpg

Jeff, you might need to add some foam between the ignition and the firewall to cushion from vibration.

You can't see it in the picture but it's there. I cut some from the foam that the engine came packed in and I put three or four layers of it.

The cowling fitted with everything in the engine compartment installed. The choke rod is accessible and everything. I went with a Redwing prop and 3.5" carbon fiber spinner. So far, everything on this plane came from Redwing rc. They are very extensive in their product offerings.

Next up, came the electronics. So pictured are the switch, battery installed on the recommended cg (wingtube), tach, optokill, and receiver. The satellite rx is below the rudder servo.

Now does anyone have suggestions on how to remove all that Sharpie?

Due to the limited size of my shop (basement), I saved the wings for last. I'm sure most of you have installed this type of wing servo in the past so I didn't go into too much detail. Be sure to note the turnbuckle type pushrods to adjust their length. uploadfromtaptalk1382886926731.jpguploadfromtaptalk1382886936795.jpg

Here she is! Ready for maiden! uploadfromtaptalk1382887025168.jpg

There aren't graphics on it yet for two reasons.
1. I promised photos to Redwing on the ground and in the air.
2. I'm superstitious and won't put "the pretty stuff" on until I have a successful maiden.

The pretty stuff in this case will be a CF xion prop and custom "Monster Energy" graphics from Gyro.

Almost forgot, if you're friends with me on Facebook then I'll be happy to tell you that it does in fact fit in my car with a whole 1.5" to spare. :D
