It puts the pushrod at a bad angle when the servo is near the ends of travel, and it's outside of the 5% limit the unit can correct for. They should really move the hard point to be more in line with the servo pocket. I have some longer arms on the way along with another trick I'm gonna try to make it better. Good to know that Booma is working with you.

Booma has been AWESOME through the whole experience. Definitely a company to work with in the future.

I took quite a few videos during the process and did comparisons to the standard JR Matchboxes with a quad current meter and they finally told me to send them back and they would refund my money. They also told me they would send me a set to try when they have modified the software with a greater tolerance built in so I could test the new ones for them to see how things worked.

If I had a 2 servo wing, I would not even hesitate to purchase the IM22 and use it. When I had the master and 1st slave hooked up it was SWEET! Smooth transitions and no binding ANYWHERE from one extreme to the other.

I can't wait to see the second generation of the IM14. I am sure it will rock the same way the IM22 does.

Again, @BoomaRC and @VitalRc are both great companies to work with. Vital-rc is the current US distributor for BoomaRC products.

Mark,

Very sorry your im14s didn't work out, it appears you have a unique situation. Hopefully Booma can get to the bottom of it and update us. As of now I haven't had or currently seen any other reported issue with the im14. FYI Im just a dealer, duralight is the distributor. :)

If you need anything else, you know how to get in touch.

Thanks,

Justin

I just ordered one for my 3DHS 104" Slick. As for the hookup, I'm assuming you put this before the power distribution (I have a SmartFly in it)? Like this: Normal three-wire servo extension from the RX to the Intellimatch (so that the Intellimatch feeds off the same source as the RX), then a single signal wire from each output into the SmartFly.

Makes sense?

Hey guys, need some assistance here, having issues with the boxes only moving through a small degree of the centering cycle. Anybody have a phone contact number for booma rc or vital rc? Maybe im doing something wrong here, really want these to work!

FWIW, I just maidened my 3DHS 104" Slick with an Intellimatch IM22 on it and it worked beautifully. The setup is dead simple. Plug it in, push a button and it does the rest itself. Very minimal buzzing across the entire range. I have dual Savox 1270TG on the ailerons, so a single IM22 took care of both surfaces. And since the device costs less than two Matcbboxes, I can't see what's not to like.

The only possible complaint would be that I'm feeding four servos from three wires (the two incoming channels, plus an auxiliary battery wire). I don't think that's going to be a issue, though.

@thurmma Did you check that the servo moves freely and doesn't bind somewhere along the curve? I think the device works by measuring the current, so it it finds a spot where the servo binds a little and draws more current, it may think that's a mechanical end point. This is a dumb question, but you did hook it up AFTER the power distro unit, right?

Thanks guys, and thanks mark.
Zero binding and perfect mechanical geometry. Went by the directions to the letter. It doesnt mention setting end points on slave servo. Ill give that a shot. Pm replied to.

All good and wonderful again in the world. Thanks Mark for the walk thru today, and just like you said the step to simply push the button was missed and it truly doesnt say to push it on my instructions but the pdf online does. Awesome units incredibly easy totally impressed with them and with my friends here on GSN, the help flowed so fast and correct. Thank you thank you thank you.
