Here are some pictures of the left side of the stab and turtle deck after sanding. Tonight I'll start fitting the rudder.

Rudder hinged, sanded to shape and test fitted.

Today I finished sanding the planks on the front of the fuse and drilled the holes for the canopy bolts. I then opened the holes up through the balsa section with a sharpened brass tube so the bolt head will be recessed. I installed the hatch and drilled the holes through the hatch tabs, then removed the hatch, enlarged the holes and installed the blind nuts.

Now that the hatch bolts on I need to start installing the stringers and planking it.

I also need to clean the workbench. As you can see in the photos, I'm down to working at the very end since the rest is buried in junk.

I kinda thought so too with the shape of it and then the open rudder structure.
