Thomas,

Can you give us the physical size of this plane, assembled, and dis-assembled.
Need to calculate trailer space needed.

Are the wings in Four pieces when dis-assembled?
Can you also include a picture with someone standing next to it for size comparison?
A picture of the plane in/on your trailer, and how secured, would be nice, too.

In the following Pictures you can find hopefully your pics you would like to see.
We have a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and rolling the box into it. So ist easy and save
on the road. Now we have a Trailer in the Company ( as a Promotion Trailer also )
where we can put in the Eagles completely assembled. Ist for us easyer to
go on the field in about 20 testing and go back....
This is a Kind of luxury Situation but 20 minutes of assembling was OK for me
before we get the Trailer. The benefit of fun and impressive flight Feeling is great
enough to Forget the 20 minutes at the second of take off !

To have a better comparison I´m 6 1/2 ft. tall.
( Also the reason to built an EAGLE not a Pitts´...)

Absolutely over the top! If I didn't know better, I would think you're a huge Eagle fan!

The working platform, hangar and transport unit are great ideas. I might need to borrow those!

OK - yesterday we took out the turtledeck from the mould .
In the following Pictures we describe the work a Kit builder has to do:

turtledeck_out_of_the_mould.jpg

The turtledeck and the routed bulkheads for it are ready to assemble in the kit.
In the next Picture you can see how to fix the bulkheads at the right Position.
First of all you fix front bulkhead with a few Drops of cyanacrylate glue at the
carbon deck. Next step is to fix the Turtledeck onto the fuselage and fix the end
paralell to the longerons with a tape. Now you have to turn over the fuselage
and you can easy fix the rear bulkhead on ist Position.

To glue the bulkheads finally with the deck you remove the Turtledeck and glue it with a small amount
of Epoxy. - The Turtledeck is ready to assemble on the fuselage with 4 screws.

The complete Turtledeck has a wight of 171 Gramms ! and it is more than stiff !!
( we can Change the Laminate-sancwich a Little bit and save another 30 Gramms )

The transportbox has the following size:

length:119 in.
height with wheels aprox. 44 in.
widht: 51 in.

We didn´t calculate the box and easy-2-stick-hangar yet -
I think ( calculated with my stomach) the complete Thing
is about 1500 € ( The box is done from a PP-EPS-PP Sandwich
this Sandwich we are producing inhouse in our Advertising Company
The Wood parts are made of multilayer weather resistant 16mm material
CNC routed.

We changed the Sandwich materials and the result is how it was calculated.
The final SL-Turtledeck Version ( SL = super light ) has only 95 gramms !

To cut the end of the deck, you only have to go straight the line which is in the
carbon part.

The Tail structure is also getting ready -
and the turtledeck fits perfect.

( Forget to delete the german text in the Pictures-layout )
