The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Made more sanding blocks and also made my first cross cut sled for my table saw. Man I wish I had made it a year ago. Makes things so much easier. Well back to the shop still have many more sanding blocks yet to make to fill all the orders.

    Couldn't help myself

Thank you Bart. I have been meening to start a thread on it. My wife and I have struggled with infertility for the past 3 years spending tons of money on countless different things including two failed rounds of IVF last year. We might still revisit the idea again latter on but at the moment...

Scale Balsa USA 1/3 Scale Super Cub Kit " NIB "

Sub'd. I love me some aerobatic planes but I must admit that I'm a closet Cub lover. My new cub kit hopefully will be here tomorrow. I just got the little elcheapo kit from hobbyking. Heard some decent things about it so I figured for $30 what the hell. Looking forward to seeing this one of...

Sleepy since I do still follow the PROBRO site pretty regularly (don't sorry I still think this place is the best) I was thinking I might be a little funny. I love flying slabs and most of the members over there are cool as can be. I'm thinking of attending the major probro event NASHBRO this...

Thanks. I plan on building a good size T-6 Texan some day so boost tabs may lend themselves well in that application .

Those clear things up a lot for me Roger. Thanks. Now how well would it work for a 3D plane where we are looking for max throw we can get out of a surface? Just looks like it may limit the amount of travel you can get but then again it may just be how I'm looking at it.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I made some custom sanding blocks. Now to make many more as I have quite a few members of the probro site asking to buy some from me.

Yup that should work. Like Kenny said another good tip is to use some sort of strait edge across the trailing edge of the ribs to help keep everything lined up well. If I was at home I would take a picture of what he is saying do but I'm working tonight.

Hey Roger on the Boost Tabs, when you get to doing the linkages for all that I would really appreciate some good up close photos of all the linkages. Help me get the best understanding of them possible.

When I built my lamyak 40 I just glued the bottom spar at the root ribs and then did everything needed to the top of the wing. After I was done with the top I flipped it over and then pressed the spar all the way into the slot and finished gluing it. Looking good. Keep asking questions when you...
