That sudden loading is why full scale planes have a max maneuvering speed specified. Above that speed any sudden full throw of the controls will likely cause structural damage. Designing a plane to survive max control throws all the way up to maximum speeds makes for very heavy structures...- Bartman

no twin comanches? one of these days..... what's interesting to me is that if you go to an IAC contest, the real planes have these very thick airfoils with very blunt leading edges. models though have very thin wings and sharp leading edges. i've always kind of wondered why the...- Bartman
