Saying goodbye to AMA?

On a different note. I have been checking into ultralights. It just may be a cheaper hobby with less regulation and I can land and takeoff at my club field with no AMA or dues.

I am sure IMAC members are tickled to death with the AMA right now.
TBH, I'm not sure that the relationship is mutually beneficial anymore. IMAC, acting independently, could still use the AMA event sanction process and require AMA membership for insurance and safety. The NATS could go back to moving the venue around the country making it more affordable and accessible to the members of IMAC.
 
Just posting up some "observation".......

With the rulings it appears small aircraft operators seem they have a judicious amount of air superiority. My last few times out at my club field and most recently at the small gathering I hosted there was at least two private small aircrafts that I saw intentionally deviate from their established flight path in order to get closer to the ground based activity of us RCing. They all flew extremely close and what I would think was an estimated altitude of 300 to 500 feet. To me this is just some of the BS we are going to have deal with. Azz Hat is a two way street. General aviation guidelines restrict operating aircraft within established limits of RC flying sites too!(I'm sure this has been mentioned by others). And do I dare say to all the private pilots that you all are supposed to know that "established" means if you see model aircraft flying and the ground below then that is the "established" limit of the RC flying site. No AMA sanctioned/chartered etc....etc.. Just steer clear.
@49dimes I concur with you observation. I know in my RC "career" I have been "buzzed" by full scale at least 3 times that I remember. ALL three were below tree top level either down the runway and or crossing sometimes with multiple passes. I know on two of the three occasions we got the tail number and I suspect after we reported the incidents these jokers next flight were with an FAA instructor re-certifying there flight worthiness!:p

Yeah my understanding the last fella was grounded for awhile. He had just been reported the week before flying low over a construction site, and those 2 were not his only reports.
