Saying goodbye to AMA?

I admit that I don't know a lot about IMAC the organization, but, do you guys think that they could be the new advocate for airplane guys? Why should AMA be the defacto mouthpiece for all rc enthusiasts. If airplane and heli flyers abandoned the "Academy of Drone Asshats" and pumped money into an established organization that has our interests at heart, maybe our fields could be IMAC backed flying fields instead of that other organization? Just food for thought.

To fly at an IMAC event......you need to have an AMA number. IMAC is a SIG for precision scale flying.

Damn I'm hungry
Just posting up some "observation".......

With the rulings it appears small aircraft operators seem they have a judicious amount of air superiority. My last few times out at my club field and most recently at the small gathering I hosted there was at least two private small aircrafts that I saw intentionally deviate from their established flight path in order to get closer to the ground based activity of us RCing. They all flew extremely close and what I would think was an estimated altitude of 300 to 500 feet. To me this is just some of the BS we are going to have deal with. Azz Hat is a two way street. General aviation guidelines restrict operating aircraft within established limits of RC flying sites too!(I'm sure this has been mentioned by others). And do I dare say to all the private pilots that you all are supposed to know that "established" means if you see model aircraft flying and the ground below then that is the "established" limit of the RC flying site. No AMA sanctioned/chartered etc....etc.. Just steer clear.

I think that being they ruled that our planes are "aircraft" , I think that would make our aircraft just as important in the airspace, that we have a right to be in, being that we are genuine FAA registered aircraft! Kind of a stupid predicament the faa put on themselves. I guess they will have to treat our stupid little clubs like an airport now and deviate from our airspace.

Be that as it may, manned aircraft will always trump unmanned aircraft. Always.

I was being sarcastic, but aside from that, this is how stupid they are. To include model aircraft as real aircraft. Our society in general is screwed. But hey!!! at least everyone got the "change" they wanted!
