I forgot to put the exhaust stacks on for the first picture. They were difficult to do, but sure turned out better than my usual attempts.

I would like a set of those plans. I tried contacting rcwarbirdbuiler but no response. Can you tell me how to get a set? Thanks

I know I said hinging was my least favorite thing to do when building from plans. It’s not. Sanding is. I sprayed the plane with the Montana Gold spray paint. As it turns out, it’s not as horrible as I said. I think buffing it out and spraying it with clear coat, it might’ve been ok. But, since I’m using Wingswestrc paint, I sanded the entire plane twice. Once with 120 wet, then with 220 wet. Trying to find a bright spot in all this sanding, (3 days worth), I was able to fix a lot of small errors that showed up under the Silver. Now, the spray paint makes an excellent primer/base coat. Ordered the paint tonight, expect it probably Thursday. Until then, I’ll finish the hinging and install the power box.

I sent a message to George. Let’s see if he answers.
George replied to me to say he's not selling plans anymore. I asked if he'd send the files to my local Staples who could print and then delete them but he didn't respond. The Jerry Bates 1/4 scale (112") plans are $60 plus $18 shipping, Jerry replied right away to my emails so he'll have a set in the mail to me this week. Not sure I need a 112" Mustang on my bench but that appears to be the direction I'm going in at the moment. :lol2:

I can tell you that a 103” Mustang is a shop full!!! At least in a small basement shop like mine. I don’t know if it takes up more room with parts laying about, or put together on top of the table.
George’s plans are all hand drawn. He doesn’t have them in a digital format.

That would make sense then. Was hoping to hear back from him since the Nosen Mustang was the one I always wanted to build but with his B mods already done it seemed like the best of both worlds. It's a big project to commit to, kudos to you for taking it on, we'll see if I get it started or if the plans go on the pile.

Watching your progress is certainly motivating to do something!

I really want to build that nosen too. I have the original nosen plans and short kit but the he built it seemed easier
