New planes always seem to have a little finessing. I can understand your frustration though. But the upside is? You have an awesome masterpiece that is all your own.

So what exactly is the worries with Miss Mona? Did I miss something? Maybe I need to do more catch up reading.

It's tail heavy so I going to swap the aluminum stab tubes for carbon fiber ones if I can find what I need. I also need to fix the hatch from when I had to cut one of the plywood tongues off at the field when a blind nut went south.

I ordered a carbon fiber stab tube today from Graphtech. They had one in stock still and are supposed to ship by tomorrow. There are new owners, so hopefully things there will turnaround form what it's been in the past.

I'm hoping to knock an ounce off the tail by changing to carbon. That would be like adding 4 ounces to the nose.

I cut and installed the new stab tubes tonight. They weight about half what the aluminum ones did. I also swapped props from a Falcon to a Mejzlik of the same size that weighs about an ounce more. I did the math on the distance from the CG to the stab and CG to the front of the firewall and between the prop and the stab tubes I moved about 4 ounces to the firewall without adding any additional weight. Hopefully that will be enough to notice in flight.
