Covering small planes is considerably easier than large planes if you think wrinkles are a problem on smaller planes try laying down a sheet of covering 12 inches wide and 86 inches long. It is coming along got the bottom done the NASA air extraction ducts covered reasonably well, difficult to get the iron into the slots and get everything smooth and glued down. But it is looking good and getting excited to see the fuselage done.

Making progress slowly one of the more challenging parts is done, that is the transition from the fuselage to the rudder. Got it to look not too bad. Just keep plodding along. Hopefully I get the covering done before the good weather shows up. When the good weather shows up then I need to get at least 2 plans ready and also work on getting the flying field back into shape.

The fuselage to fin transition is one of the more challenging areas on an airplane. Either covering or do the wood work.

Yes I agree always a challenge and never get it the you want it. It is also more difficult with plastic covering. When I painted planes it was easier to hide. A lot of coats and talcum powder mixed into the paint and sanding.

Well part of the nose section is done not as neat as I would like but it is the dest I can do for now. Trying to get covering to stick to an inside surface is difficult it just keeps pulling away. It’s like sticking covering to a concave surface.
the worst thing is I have a burn blister on my thump from pulling the covering around the leading edge and I kept touching the iron on my thumb While pulling and holding the covering in place.

Trying to decide how to blend the canopy into the fuselage. In the picture you can see how I think the windshield will be. Yellow all around and the windshield it will be black. I think it will look ok your opinion will be appropriate. Hopefully you can see the pencil lines.
