Sorry to say I do not have blocks of Balsa that will fill the gap thanks for the suggestion that would have saved me a lot of work. I should buy some blocks when I get the chance.

Have a block in the shop, 2 1/2" x 1 3/4"x 48", 7 1/2 pound balsa that I can send you if it will help. Bought a garbage bag full of balsa blocks at auction several years ago for $20, I'm well ahead on the purchase so it's yours is you want it, cut in half to send.

Give me a day or so to see if my new idea is doable. I should take you up on that it’s good to have on hand. Thanks for the offer and will let you know.

Ok new idea filled in enough on the side of the fuselage to be flush with main stringers with in the area of the root rib this gives something to stick the covering to from the stringer to the wing root area. Then I made a new root rib and glued it to the side of the fuselage. This gives the location and what to work to.
Still not sure about all this but will continue and see the out come.

Got one side done at last, and it looks good and it is strong, just needs a little putty and sanding. The bad part is now I have to start all over again but it will go a lot quicker but it is tedious and a lot of fitting and parts. What I do know is if I scratch build another plane it will be done differently.
Just like to say thanks for all the support and suggestions it helped.

The second side almost done wedge is in and the top side sheeted. Just have let the wood glue dry, flip it over and finish of the sheeting on the bottom. That is one job done. This was not easy. Need to get 4 holes perfectly lined up. 2 rotation pins 1 wing tube and 1 wing holding bolt and one that is not critical but needs to line anyway.

Both sides of the fuselage extensions are done just some sanding and blending to be done and fillets add to the extension. Some minor fixes and blending to be done on the fuselage. Still need to mount the gas tank and figure out the air fuel pressure tanks and the fuel connections to the side of the fuselage. Picture shows the small 1/8 fillet added to the fuselage extension.
