I personally don't like profiles. Just a personal opinion, as they fly wonderfully, just not my thing.
You will quickly discover that outside of profiles, 20cc makes little sense as there are so few airframes for those motors. Lord knows I tried last season with my Mintor 22 and OS GT22 to find airplanes for them to work in. The 3DHS Velox is a bit underpowered for the new breed of XA flying and the same cost as the 30cc planes. I tried a H9 Katana, and it was silly power, but lacked in 3D ability. That AW Extra is a 60" plane. It will be stupid powered on that motor, and also be on the heavy side. It has less wing than my Katana did. Tell us how it works out, you will probably have to use 3 blade props to tame it down from prop effects.
30cc is a probably where you want to be at at this price point. Lots of excellent motor choices with the DLE-30 with a bowman ring, OS GT33 (my favorite) as it has a great throttle response, and is great on the noise front, DLE-35 that dth7 mentioned, and the soon to be released unobtainium DA-35. The VVRC-40 is a beast of a motor and I kind of considered it a larger class than the others.
If you are a EF fan, look at the 70" EXP. I had one electric, and I sold it to a local whom put a DLE-30 on a quiet canister. It does not have the extreme pitch authority I love, but it flies wonderfully and is a bit cheaper than the 78 as shipping is $40 versus over $100 and comes with CF landing gear. It has removable stabs and need mini servo in the tail, which might add to the expense.
3DHS IMHO makes the best pure 30cc planes on the market for flying qualities, but they are built light. The 72 needs some mods to the wings, the 71 slick needs some mods to the fuse sidewalls, and the 74 is the all arounder.
I am personally trying a 50cc plane from Aerobeez and Redwing, but I can't directly comment on which one is better as they are not finished yet. The Redwing MXS has a wonderful reputation.
Servo wise, I just started trying the budget HK-15298s in a Pilot-RC sbach. The plane is not working out on CG (I did it electric) so I am not there on commenting on the servos, but they were under $20, and put out the required torque on my tester. I use Hitec 5565MHs in 3 of my 30cc 3D planes, but they are $60 range servos. I think you will see that digital servos that hold up to 3D are in the $50 or so price point. You are looking for around 200 oz-in and speed under .15 or so. If you are OK with a little less speed the Hitec 5685MHs are very nice. They put out more torque than spec'd in my testing and I liked the feel of them on my old 74 Edge. The slowness was a sort of expo to me, and they are at the $40 price point. Savox make good servos, but I have not tried any in this size range.
Once you go gas, a lot of the items are similar in price regardless of size, like the switches, fuel tanks, IBECs, throttle servos, fuel dots, fuel lines, fuel filters, etc.
