Well, I went out flying tonight.

I flew four, twenty minute flight.

I can 98% of the time put her into the knife edge spin now at will.

What I found that works is :

At stall, kick left rudder till nose is horizontal

Then use full down, with medium left aileron, full throttle.

This got it cranking down in a semi knife edge spin.

Lessening up on left aileron tightened up the spin.

She'll spin on a perfect tight axis, cranking like mad. :triumphant::triumphant::triumphant::triumphant::triumphant:

So now I can say, this plane kicks some major A$$ in knife edge spins and pop tops.

Now time to build in some more moves.

You guys have given me all kinds of new ways to try entering the knife edge spin. The next time I take the Edge out I'll try them and see what works.

Thanks to this thread I went out with my Comp-ARF Extras 260. Got it great after a few attempts, but then I was so amazed at myself I forgot what I did so couldn't replicate it. Came home and reread this thread. Practiced it again on the RealFlight Sim. Hope to remember it next time!
