Little bit different for me, there is AT LEAST a near death experience after getting home after a crash.
I have heard talk of having a true scale IMAC contest. The main sticking point is how to kill the pilot when they crash.

The giant scale stuff for me has sort of changed over the last couple of years. Seems it used to be "FLY FLY FLY, more gas burned the better!" Now it seems more like we look forward to traveling and hanging out with all the awesome people we've met all around the country.

Except for huckfests.....then it's all about burn gas because you have all night to "socialize"
