About time you got here to "square" em' away and make sure your message drop down box is checked. I tried pm you and it rejected me just like my ex did.

I don't want to square anyone away, just the dirty little reciprocator. I've been here since day one, it's been my evening entertainment, "As The Propeller Turns" so to speak.

Message drop down box? I know nothing about that, please teach me something.

At last!
The savior is here :brian-banana:

Thanks Jody.
I was wondering if you were here, but didn't want to bring it up.
I'm not much of a politician and don't know who's who until they get here.
This place feels a little like "Cheers" to me.

I'll pm you and get her goin.

Any thoughts before you get the demon?

Thanks everyone for hangin in there with me.
I guess the thread will take a rest until Jody chimes back in.
I am so curious at this point.
Still not sure what would happen to the engine when it experiences the wind tip over as mine did
which stopped the idling engine as in a prop strike?
That's the only unknown left for me.

More to follow!
Film at 11...

Whew, now I can get some sleep

Bob,

I am no savior, ... but I can fix moters reel gooder than most.
I may have slightly jumped the gun with my post but when you mentioned something about pitching it and moving on I wanted to say ... something. You see, I work here, http://insitu.com I do pretty much the same thing you do, uh ... but a little different and I'm currently deployed. I'll be home on 5 Dec. No turkey for me this year, again.

Thoughts? Well, I really wish that gal .... oops. I don't know man, it seems as though you've replaced everything at some point. I don't want to appear condescending and I'm not the best at expressing accurate thoughts with written word. But, it doesn't read as though a proper methodical troubleshooting sequence has been instituted and followed. Rather a bit of a presumptuous shotgun approach, don't take that personally, please. That is not a shot at your experience/skill set, but this exact type of scenario is part of what I do for a living on much, much more complicated systems than a DLE30. The symptoms you described could be caused by many things, fortunately there aren't that many things on a bare bones 30cc 2 stroke engine. Rest assured I can and will do what I say if given the opportunity. If you want to take me up on my offer, and a purring Chinese 妓女 would make a good Christmas present (yes, I said CHRISTmas) don't ship it until the 4th or 5th. Let me know if you need a physical address for shipping UPS/FedEx.

Well God Speed Jody Haack

If you think you want to deal with something like this after a deployment, then yes, I need a physical address for shipping.
When I got home from Iraq, the Honey Do list was amazing :geek:

I'm familiar with your company.
In a general sense, what is your expertise, and how long have you been with the company?

Take care, and Be Safe!

That's the best way to diagnose the problem, actually have the motor in front of you. And now you have a bunch of spare parts from the sounds of it.

Everything else is the same.

In a general sense, my official title is Propulsion Specialist, my official responsibilities are in R&D, but it's much more complicated than that. They have to put a label on you though, I know you know what I mean. And I know you understand that I can't write anything remotely specific about what I do, or why I'm not home working in the R&D lab.

I was recruited to work here about 3-1/2 years ago but I've been doing this same sort of thing, in one form or another since I left home at 15. I was working with my father in his automotive machine shop, running mills, lathes, presses, and welding etc, at 11 or 12. Much, much more, I'm old.

I also helped develop the rear carbed version of the DLE30 and did all the V&V testing for it.

Everything I used in the past couple of days I had on hand.
The ring was given to me by a friend who put Bowmans in his DLE 60.
I'm used to keeping spare parts.
Got in to that habit when I was on the road flying pattern many moons ago...
