Yes that's right he did, not sure when, but I do know Hanno Pretner was the first to compete with one in 1980 at the TOC , which he won with it...

Rodger those hinges are pretty cool looking. Now how long does it take to make one and how many more do you have to make? Also how much deflection are you expecting to get out of the surfaces?
