Decided to redo the OEM blind nut in the other wing. While I was in there I added a little tri-stock. Did the same to the other side.

Went ahead and cut some 1/2” bright yellow strips to gap seal the wings.... I took a break and then did the other wing... except I was so tired I put a second gap seal on one surface! Duh!!! Tried using a hole punch to give the hinge some relief. It worked great

Let me show you guys again how pathetic this blind nut was.

Been following this thread for a while now. Just about finished with my Timber and will be ready for the maiden flight soon. Eventually I do plan on replacing the stock gear. I’m going to give it a go for now. Thanks for having such a great thread to refer too. I really enjoyed this build!

Well found some aluminum for the landing gear at last will have to drive 100 miles to pick it up. So hopefully I can start to make new gear for the Timber.

Thanks man! And you guessed right

Looking at your picture. I have a little advice unless you've already changed it up. You need some more cowl exit air behind the muffler, otherwise you cowl is going to insulate the heat and overheat your engine and possibly make tuning your carb nightmare with hotter than ambient air.
Next is the spark plug. Throw away the DLE plug, they are known to fail. Buy a NGK CM-6 instead. Gap should be around 0.019" +/- 0.001"

Nick how did you come up with the 0.019 gap.
