Spinner is fine, it just doesn't accommodate the 23x8 Falcon prop.... LE and TE of the prop hit the mounting holes.

I have a bunch of wiring left to do, routing, throttle linkage, and battery/receiver. placement. Need to investigate my spinner options again. So this was the best time to check the CG, and check the weight. My calculations put this beast at 19.6lbs. Horizon says it’s 17-19, but with the...

2” arms on the wings from NWRC in a pretty blue. Found a good way to support the wires on the ignition. Added a grommet in the tunnel cover, ignition power on the right side through the floorboard and the hall sensor wire on the left and through the engine box. A little copper ultra for...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

https://tdsna.henkel.com/NA/UT/HNAUTTDS.nsf/web/0726AE0C57475DFA882571870000D608/$File/222MS-EN.pdf Seems it's rated for 500F and not recommended for plastics or high oxygen environments, and is a low strength thread-locker. Im sure 3W testing has used it for this application and is fine though.

Played with my tailwheel some more. Added my signature lol and revised some corners and edges. Took just under 3hrs to print. I print slow. Talk about deflection! Pretty happy with my little wheel geometry. Finally got the rudder cables set up. With a strait arm there is positive Ackerman...

I can’t decide for you! After running two 6S batteries in my 75” edge and 4-4.5min flight times on whimsy 3300 batteries I decided I’ll stick with gasoline on the bigger birds. Flight time is my #1 winning argument. However, since nose weight is encouraged, you can support larger batteries...

Finally put my elevator servos in place. Be sure to wick some CA in there before you do this. I need to figure out what I’m going to do for a receiver and batteries so I can make extension leads the right length.

I didn’t like how the cabin structure was poorly fitted. So I added a little extra support brace

Made an ignition shelf in the canister tunnel. Used welders glue to attach foam to the Velcro and shelf. It’s not going to wander anywhere now.

LOL, I was drinking a pretty darn good cup of coffee, all my brain waves are synced when that happens  So you've got this! Don't worry when you said steel I thought you were right until I visualized drilling the last two... and I may have looked it up.. Now that we are both on track...

After grinding the spinner to accommodate the propeller, I carefully put my backplate, and pre-drilled (by me) prop on the engine for alignment and then used a drill bit to transfer the hole locations to the back plate. Then used a pilot hole, followed by the actual bit size - I double checked...

Kinda neat if your going electric. I think. The supplied engine block moves a bit and you epoxy it in place. I haven’t seen this before and moves about 5/8” Which reminds me. The total standoff length for the DLE55RA needs of be at least 2.93” or about 75mm. My extensions for the DLE55RA are...
