    but at least they are consecutive HA! Here in Southeast Alaska. Late April -Late October. 2020 was brutal for flying weather. We had 24 days without precipitation in the calendar year. Brutal. I’m just about every flying video I made on my channel had some sort of rain in it except a couple.

    I think any scale model is a challenge. This is much more challenging than I anticipated. I’m going to build a couple quick kits after this plane for a confidence boost. The level of detail is great. The whole plane brightened up once it got outside too. Thanks guys!

    Today marks the one year anniversary when this build thread was started as I glued my first piece of balsa together. Still lots to do, but decided it required a photo shoot outside since it wasn’t raining/snowing. Keep in mind I pretty much didn’t touch this plane during the summer flying season.

    Blue recognition stripe went on great, used a sealing iron around the Landing light cutout.

    Cut my deep blue recognition stripes and almost my finger! Just barley shaved it! LOL! Decided to call it a night. (Friday). This three picture add at a time is making me get behind on posting. used a piece of paper as a square to mark where the stripe should go

    Started putting yellow on! Used one continuous piece for the outboard section. Left a two rib bay gap for my recognition stripe. The inboard section was covered bottom then top in two sections due to the canted inboard leading edge.

    After mostly figuring out how I wanted to attach the flap linkages, I decided there wasn’t a whole lot of material left, so to make me feel better I added a little bit of glass surrounding the hole. It ain’t much, but it’s something. Honestly don’t like the geometry when stowed, but it works.

    Put my wingtips on with 30min epoxy. Made a couple inspection/access holes for my LED lights.

    Worked on my rudder linkages. I did not receive any 3mm or 4-40 ez linkages (only 2mm/2-56) so I got some.

    Thanks Mike! Put my final pin stripe on the other side. Used a sealing iron to tuck in the loose tag ends in the boot cowl and door frame.
