Scale RCM 1/3 Scale Champ Build

I'm using the blanket method and the Champ lacks a center stringer so it works out better to do the tail separate. Notice in the photo how the leading edge of the rudder just disappears into the space between the two top stringers. The sides and the top are simple to do, there's more work in...

Scale RCM 1/3 Scale Champ Build

I have covered three planes with fabric. Without a doubt the most difficult area is the transition between the vertical fin and the fuselage. You really can't stretch fabric like Monokote. When putting on the finishing tape it's really tough using the precut F&M tape since it is cut straight...

Scale 1/3 Scale Extra 330L Build.

Do you charge with the batteries in the plane? At the end of the day I take them out and put the batteries on a storage charge on the way home, If I'm lucky I remember to unplug the batteries and charger when I get home. I think a friend of mine recently bought a plane with an AR dual battery...

The mount provided by JMB, it is a silicon O-ring with an aluminum W shaped mount, the rear of the can is supported in a silicon rubber bushing on the snout. Photo was taken in 2006, still flying today although it does have a little rash. The can and mount were purchased from RC Showcase. I...

I started putting the fabric back on the Champ today, got the bottom covered. Next will be the vertical stab but I am doing a little work on the trim tab pulley arrangement before hand. I think I may need to order more fabric, how long did you order take?
