    Most kits build with a rear tab on each rib. You can add them to the template and score them with the original line for easy breakoff. They need to be parallel with the bottom of the lower spar.

    Balsa, with no carbon? I just ordered a bunch of wood from Balsa USA and got 3/8" sqr. basswood for the spars. I couldn't find any 5/16 hardwood. I planned on using the 3/8" sqr. spars all the through, with no doubler between ribs 1-4.

    I'm really thinking about learning CAD. So much of our sport is going away. A lot of planes I enjoy flying are no more, so finding a ways to keep building my favorites might be the way to go.
