    Welcome AeroBeez!

There aren't too many yak 55's that really catch my eye, this being one of them. More often I find that the shape of a 55 is unappealing. This one looks sharp :D

    RealFlight 6 Models

I spent some time editing this MXS-R someone posted up. I have no idea how the EF model really flies but I hated the way this flew right when I downloaded it. I ended up changing the length of the Chord at both the root and the tips as well as tweaked the airfoil a bit and adjusted throws. I...

If it is epoxied I'd just use a dremel to cut it out. Try to keep your cutting to the material you actually want to remove and go slow. I don't THINK acetone will hurt the ultracote.

Heh, depends on what was used to secure it. Mine was epoxied in so acetone won't really help. If yours is CA'd in you can use acetone... it is the main ingredient in debonder anyway.

I'll make mine from ply. I like popsicle sticks, but not for that spot on the 70. I feel the elevator halves are just too big to trust with that wood. I think it needs hardwood or ply.

71" AJ Slick Building, Flying, and Questions

Ya the new LHS is a breath of fresh air, but they don't have everything you need yet. Horizon has issues with their location so they have to move before they can get an account there. Thanks, all it takes is determination mixed with a little perseverance :D

    3DHS Planes Picture Thread

Here are some pics of shenanigans with rcdrum this past Saturday. He came up to Southern Utah to be close to family for a week. Lucky for me he contacted me and we set aside some time for flying at my home field. Welcome to Remote Possibilities RC Club :D Thanks for visiting rcdrum and wife...

71" AJ Slick Building, Flying, and Questions

Flight report: I went flying twice today. Once with my boy in the AM and then I decided to head out to the field for some quick flights on the 70 FB slick just before sunset. The first time I only got one flight because I made the mistake of landing a bit hard and got a prop strike. I...

So basically cut out a rectangle and bevel with sandpaper. The whole thing should take less than 30 min including setup time.

I would like the dimensions even if he doesn't ;) Mine could use to be replaced as well.

Can't you just make one? I'd use ply. Laminate some together if needed. You could coat the whole thing in epoxy. I'm guessing that would be just as strong as the original. It wouldn't take that long to make and you could have it done tomorrow ;)

I tried a 2nd elevator servo in the tail of my 70 slick and it was SUPER tail heavy. I couldn't move stuff forward far enough. YMMV.

I think there are people that would be interested in how you do your setup to get a good balance with the heavier OS. That alone is worth a build thread IMO.

I've been really enjoying the dle 35 on my AJ Slick. I am running the stock muffler. I tried a 20x8 protek. It was not really a good match. I have found the dle really likes its rpms. Id love to here how it does with a tuned pipe. I think a 20x6 would be good and maybe a 20x8 after a really...

    Sim sessions!

Don't feel too bad Mike... I'm missing them all... I can't find my interlink controller anywhere. I have scoured the house and it has not turned up. I'm starting to think someone stole it out of my car.

If there isn't an english teacher I'm sure there are still plenty of people who could give you a peer review. Did your teacher give you any kind of rubric by which it will be evaluated?
