    Check out the DLE-35RA

18x8 is too small imo. Just put the 19x8 on it. It is going to love that prop.

    Check out the DLE-35RA

Ok... the 20x8 is too much prop when the motor is new. Put the 19x8 on there and it will be much happier. The throttle curve settings are not going to be the same but I can tell from what you said that you need to turn the low end of the stick way down. Try and get half throttle to sound like...

    The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread-

I had a great time with the aerobeez 74" slick 540. Flight report and vid here http://www.3drcforums.com/showthread.php?p=59092

    Check out the DLE-35RA

What radio are you using? You could optimize your throttle linkage with a different arm etc. If it was me (lazy) I would just set up a throttle curve. The throttle curve lets you change how far the servo travels at a given point on the stick position. For the response question... what prop...

    Aerobeez 26% 74" Slick540 Build, Maiden Log!

Here is the video from today as promised. Unfortunately the memory was full just as I started to really play with it ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eo7s2KElzrU&feature=youtube_gdata_player

    Aerobeez 26% 74" Slick540 Build, Maiden Log!

As much as it makes me feel a tad embarrassed I have to come clean about something... I used the same model memory on this slick that I was using on the yak. The hard pull to the canopy in KE was from a mix I had on the yak. I cleared it out and the elevator coupling was very minor. I ended...

    Aerobeez 26% 74" Slick540 Build, Maiden Log!

I am not sure exactly where my CG is... I did put some strings around the wing tube and dangled the plane from them. The plane tilted forward about 10 degrees. It is a pretty forward CG. I could move the flight battery back. I have not decided what I'm going to do yet. I may leave it alone...

    Aerobeez 26% 74" Slick540 Build, Maiden Log!

Successful maiden :) I only got one flight cuz a wheel fell off. I should have checked them closer ;). I got the missing number replaced so she is rdy for round two. A few notes: Trimming was easy... no aileron trim needed. Roll rate was slower than I was used to. Ill see about getting...

    Fluttering Digital Servo's

I have had some success using ferrite rings on fluttering servos as well. For the most part though... it doesn't bother me that much unless they are doing it under a load. As soon as there is some pressure against them they usually quiet down. Some guys put the soft side of Velcro between the...

    Aerobeez 26% 74" Slick540 Build, Maiden Log!

I had a minor setback last night. It was totally my fault but I ended up with the prop hub not quite making it out of the cowl. I should have checked the fit of the cowl first thing after mounting the engine but I didnt. When I found out it wasnt going to fit I had already finalized my...

    Aerobeez 26% 74" Slick540 Build, Maiden Log!

Haha... I suppose Ill take that off before too long :p I got the landing gear on... much easier than the yak but I have the right tools now. You need a small crescent wrench or small vise grips. There is more space in the slick though so bigger tools could possibly have been used. I...

    Aerobeez 26% 74" Slick540 Build, Maiden Log!

I just got one from Gary. Showed up at Greyhound this afternoon. Im excited to finish it off and get it flying. I am pulling the gear out of my Aerobeez yak. My setup is a Dle 35ra and power hd 1214th high voltage digital servos. I am using the opto ignition kill that came with the motor...

    Aerobeez 90" Extra 330SC (50cc)

I suppose Id probably replace the angle stock with the metal reinforcement although those interlocking tabs in the wood look pretty strong to me.
