    Cold weather flying

Just went out flying this afternoon. Boy it was windy and cold! I can now say a 15-20 mph cross-runway wind is manageable on a 50cc Pilot yak 54 with a demon cortex installed :) I can't really say it was fun... but the cortex is phenominal.

    Cold weather flying

Cold weather makes glue a little more brittle, but it shouldn't keep you from flying. The model will hold up fine to normal abuse. I know a guy that flies electric planes all through the winter in Anchorage. Having spent a winter there I know it gets well below zero. Just realize that cold...

No worries... what would make me frustrated would be for you to not ask and then have a screwed up experience with a fantastic plane.

I like the nylon wing bolts as well... metal ones like to vibrate loose. Keep in mind there is not a lot of stress on those bolts... they just keep the wings snug. The wing tube does the heavy lifting.

Hi Bushwacker. I will comment on the firewall work. It sounds like you know basically what to do but just want a couple tips. For getting the blind nuts out find a socket from your socket set that just fits over the blind nut flange on the back of the firewall. Find a washer that fits over...
