    Hangar 9 Toledo Special

I think you are correct regarding the foam - it is a carry over to the nitro days. I've not used foam on any of my electric planes, and everything seems fine.

    What's on your bench?

It's all about flight times Steve...I know of at least six people who have installed a Mintor 22 in a Velox 68 or 70 and they all report amazing results and long flight times. Sounds like a perfect match for airframe and powerplant from what I've heard. Of course, if you only want to fly for...

    What's on your bench?

Mintor is not a Chinese brand (which makes me happy) - they are direct from Italy and they are serviced under warranty by Top Dawg Aviation here in the US. The Mintor 22 is a very popular motor. I've heard of a number of people installing them in a Velox 70"...I'm sure it would work well in...

Looks good - I'll be interested to watch...always like to watch a build, regardless of the plane, but I think this plane actually looks pretty cool.

    3DHS 58" Edge 540

For anyone who is keeping track, 3DHS just posted the 58" Edge assembly manual on their website today: http://www.3dhobbyshop.com/assets/images/3DH-58EDGE/Manual/3DHS-58EDGE-Manual.pdf zmonster97 - if you want to update the first post in this thread with that information, that would be awesome.

    In-line On/Off Switch/Y-Connector Power Cord for 12V/24V PSU

I don't see a wire size on my "Y" adapter, but I do see a "10A/250V" stamp on each plug, so I would think that your cords should support 20amps to be safe? Also, I've got a 24V system using two DPS-600 power supply units.

    3DHS 58" Edge 540

I'll bring mine to the Midwest FLI in June 2013 and you can fly it there unless you get a pull from someone else sooner. :) That is, if you can handle flying a yellow plane instead of a red one. ;)

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC

Sorry to see that and hear about the wind gusts...I guess flying in a hurricane could be considered by some as "a bit risky" :/ Sure looks repairable to me...somewhat of a clean break...how are the wings? I was out flying my 65" Vyper today and had a lot of fun with it, but I didn't have a...
