    Finished buffing today and decided to put the wings on to see what it looks like. Glued the stabilizer halves on tonight. I have graphics on the way from AeroGraphics, the Glasair logo and N numbers for the tail. AeroGraphics is a great resource for scale builds. I/m hoping to have the plane...

    Scratch resistance. The windows were already scratched, this kit is 30 years old, not sure how many owners there were along the way. When I bought the kit the windows were stuffed inside the fuselage, there was no box. I got the clear coat tip from Robert Godfrey many years ago.

    Clear coated the windows this morning and spent the rest of the day sanding and buffing. Used a 7" buffer where I could on the fuselage and the buffing pads from a headlight restoration kit for the small stuff. Just might be done buffing tomorrow, one can only hope.

    I got a bunch of reference photos as well for future use, it's not often to get to mill around a bunch of full scale airplanes. There was a Citabera there that is very similar to Champ, I was wondering how I might do the fabric around the stabilizer, now I know.

    The left side window and the firewall bolts on, the bottom is clean. I plan to install the radio gear behind the firewall. The left side window is access for the spar through bolts.

    Thank you for your compliments. Both windows are glued in. Used pairs of magnets to hold the windows in place while the 560 canopy glue dried. Just found out that the grandsons wouldn't be here until 11:30 tomorrow, just might get the windows cleared before they arrive.

    Here are photos on the Cessna 310 that the local EAA is restoring for the airport. Two years ago and today. They are making progress. If i'm not mistaken, this plane belonged to Jimmy Stewart.

    I get my prints at Staples, I think they can print any size you want, reasonable price as well, not as cheap as printing at work but close. Small price to pay for retirement!!!!
