Scale RCM 1/3 Scale Champ Build

Moved the pulley to elevator leading edge, works much better, still need to do some more work but I'm sure on the right tract now. Have to sneak this work in between the remodel work, still have 900 sq ft of flooring to install, plus painting. Getting tried of cleaning paint brushes.

Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

That's looking real good. What is your plan for the front connector?

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Darn, I wished the postman brought me something fun, but he brought me a flooring stapler for my remodeling project, rats!!!! Another two weeks and I might get back to the Champ.

3D Vertigo build, any interest in a build?

I bet someone here knows. Nice work on the wing cores.

3D Vertigo build, any interest in a build?

Now did I read that you put the glue of the core? Or was that another person? I spread the glue on the skins with a credit card just like epoxy, there sufficient amber color in the glue to assess coverage. If there are hard points in the core like servo rails and control horn hard points, I...

Scale RCM 1/3 Scale Champ Build

The trim cable is shown on the following page. The elevator assembly is shown on page 26 and the left elevator has a boss of some sort where the pulley is mounted. Attached is a photo of the three view I'm working off as well as the service manual. It shows the pulley on the stab and I'm sure...

Scale RCM 1/3 Scale Champ Build

That would make sense to me but the three view I'm working off shows different. Mounted to elevator would put the span wise cable run right over the hinge centerline. It will be a little tighter fit but I think it would work. Another revision may be it the works.

    Scale Stuka Ju87 100in wingspan

Agreed, very nice. By the way what is that black wing leaning against the wall? Looks stealth?

Scale RCM 1/3 Scale Champ Build

Finished the trim tab installation, made larger pulleys with deeper grooves. The sliding servo mount is shown as well. Decided to mix with servo with the elevator trim tab rather than boost mode. In either mode the cables remained on with elevator travel 30 degrees in each direction so I'm...

Scale RCM 1/3 Scale Champ Build

Working on the trim tab pull-pull set up. Using the three view and photos collected tried to duplicate the full scale, was pretty sure it wouldn't work as hoped and darn if I wasn't right. The top pull passes through the elevator to a pulley on the bottom of the trailing edge of the stab. The...

3D Vertigo build, any interest in a build?

The system I use is very simple, vacuum pump with bleeder valve and gauge, fuel tubing, 2 mil drop cloth and cheap caulk make the bag. Pump runs continuously while glue is curing set at 5" hg. Pump was bought at flee market 35 years ago, $15. The largest wing was bagged was 8'. Haven't done...

What's your plan for fitting the sheeting to the leading edges? Interesting building.
