    Agreed, the wires will be added and I found a couple possible globes today, they are 12 mm in diameter and appear to be about the right size. I ordered them so we shall see. Should have ordered two red ones but wasn't thinking, will use a 10mm white LED for the tail marker light...

    Steve had ask a while back if lights were in the plans, at the time I said no but started to rethink, might be nice, looking for red and green panel mount globes, I found the ones below at Radio Shack years ago, they were perfect size for 1/3 scale Super Cub. Can't find them today however...

    Made the mount for the aileron servo, there will be no hatches, if a servo goes bad cut the Monokote out from the bay and patch it. Bought 6 Hitec D945TW servos from Servocity during the Black Friday sale. 20% off if I remember correctly, just open the box today, was like Christmas all over...

    The VEE on the Cub can be both directions, not sure what year they switched. Fairly sure the Super Cubs are an upright VEE. Attached are photos from the Piper museum with an inverted VEE, I believe this was an early version. At some point the VEE was made upright.

    A Stanley Furform made quick work of the foam, a little sanding and ready for glass. Will add another layer of 6 ounce cloth and it will be ready to dig the foam out

    There is a very detailed build on the universe kit building by a fellow named Vincent, check it out. I think he used a DLE 20 and had a custom exhaust made for it. At last report it has not flown yet. Very nice scheme.

    Another favorite of mine, had a SIg Bonanza in the late 80's, Como .60, Carl Goldberg retracts, flew very well. It was the first plane I built that had a foam wing, what a plane to start with! Thank God for the great instructions provided by Sig. What are your plans for finishing?

    Trimmed and sanded the root rib to shape and began the wing extension. Made a few prototype flap hinges today, first time working with G10, learned a few things along the way, more fiddling is necessary. Grandsons are coming over after school and staying the night, my shift has ended!
