    Assembled the plane for weight and balance today. 7.8 pounds on the nose wheel, 22.6 on the mains without a fuel tank and batteries.

    Thanks Rick. And the final assembly has begun. The lights are nice and bright. Each wing panel complete with gear weights 5 pounds. Appowner reported that the prototype flew at 30 pounds with a G38, hopefully the fuselage comes in less than 20 pounds.

    Thanks guys. A few more photos. The red was an old pint that I have had for some time, it is a little off but close enough, Next time I need red base I will take a new sample of Monokote to match. The windows are cleared which provides a nice scratch resistant surface, they will look better...

    He is using 7955's and the plane is a rocket. I'm using the carbonite arms on this Cherokee on the flaps and ailerons but they never be stressed like his are.     Our trip to the flying field got cut short today, stripped an elevator servo arm on my friend's plane, good thing it was noticed before he took off for the forth flight of the day. Lessons learned don't use carbonite servo arms on 100cc plane with a 3W 150 competition series engine!!!! Got home...

    Wet sanded the parts with 400 yesterday and dusted on a coat of white epoxy primer. Going out flying this morning with a friend and depending when I get home I may get the white base color on. Did get to the autobody store, I seem to remember a pint of white base costing around $35, it's $52...

    Finally got to the point where the defects in the primed surfaces were getting had to see ,added guide coat. Hopefully one more bout with the primer. Might take a trip to the autobody store today. Need white base and clear coat, have the red base already.

    Installed the blanking plate, the bottom half is glued in and the top is removable to access the engine compartment. Three 2-56 screws hold the top in place. It is time to get serious about painting. The PTFE angle arrived as well, ordered 1 12" piece, they sent me 10 12" pieces. Sent 9 back.
