    Rebuilding the Yak...again.

It takes 10 seconds to put it in which can save you a lot of headache, I don't even cut the Tygon I just slide the brass inside of it. It's more of a safety precaution kind of thing so it doesn't invert itself right before you pull into a hover and starve the engine 5ft. from the deck ;)

    Rebuilding the Yak...again.

I just noticed this... Make sure you get a piece of brass tube inside of that pickup clunk in there, otherwise it might invert on you!!

    NEW Servos

Hi guys. The D-840WP, D-845WP, HS-1005SGT, and HS-1100WP are all 1/4 scale size servos, made for either really big airplanes, or 1/5 scale cars and boats. Probably won't work so well in most of our airplanes, they're quite a big bigger than standard sized servos.

    Hitec servo question

Which servo? We have nearly 100 servos in our product lineup, some of which are aimed at budget minded setups and won't have as precise centering as higher end servos. Resetting a servo through the programmer will set the servo back to factory defaults on everything.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Setup both my 45% wings today. Or at least matched the servos, my extensions wound up not being long enough so I will have to get some longer ones. One wing panel is fun, but a 2nd is less fun..

    Rebuilding the Yak...again.

All that worrying for naught, they really are just one big puzzle, except the puzzle pieces are pretty obvious as to where they go :banana-dance::way_to_go:

talking about witch feul you use for your engine

I run 91 octane from either a Mobile or Chevron station, if there is a Shell nearby then I will go there. We pretty much only have ethanol fuels here, there's no way to avoid them, so instead I go to a high quality gas station and get their 91 octane.

    Favorite connectors

BTW the APP on my DA70 ignition is so loose that I needed a zip tie to keep it together. I didn't change the connector there because I didn't see a need.

Discussion electric for pilot 42% edge 540

There are plenty of electric systems out there that will fly a 40% airplane, but the question is do you really want to spend that kind of money on a motor, speed control, batteries (you would need at least 4 minimum to provide the power and capacity), a powerful enough charger to charge all 4 of...

    Favorite connectors

They are primarily used in ham radio applications from what I can tell, which the connectors are perfect for. I personally can't stand them, I tried them, the crimp broke every single time even using the pricey crimper they recommend. I stick to Deans Ultra connectors on mostly everything (11...

Extreme Flight 100"/105" Slick 580 EXP!!!

The airplane is still in development, the only person we know that has one (or two rather) is @JaseTheAce since he's been directly involved with testing and development with the airplane. I think he said sometime early next year is when they want to try to have it out on the market but there's...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Tell you what, after installing a new tie rod, drag link, tie rod ends, front axle shafts, lower door hinge pin on the drivers door, drivers door latch, getting an alignment, an oil change, new radiator shroud, new coolant overflow bottle, and recharging the AC with straight R134a to top it all...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Past several nights have been occupied with fixing things here and there on the Jeep, none of which have been straightforward :omg: Wish I could be working on airplanes but I got nothing that needs workin on. The good news is the Jeep is getting newer one part at a time
