Falcon 32x12 and JMB mufflers mounted to the 180 tonight. Need to slap my ignition in, get a tank, an IBEC, and just wait for the landing gear to get in. Not long until we can fire it up :)

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Fun weekend, 3 days of flying! Saturday I got voluntold to fly at a local picnic for Hitec, brought out my old reliable Aerobeez 70" Slick Pro and knocked the socks off of everyone there (they don't see much of anyone doing 3D at that club). Sunday and Monday I had the 107" Yak out to learn...

You're saving about 4lb of weight off the nose, gonna need to push that weight forward! ;)

I'd just go 7990 on all of the surfaces. Gobs of torque and power all around, you're gonna need it because that ZDZ is a monster :yesss: You might find that you will have to add in a 3rd rudder servo if you go pull/pull to keep it effective, there seems to be some sort of loss in torque when...

    Aerobeez 45% Extra 300 assembly

Update time, haven't done one of these in a bit. Both wings have servos, went with HS-7980TH's in them since that's what the pockets were cut for. The rudder gets HS-M7990THs because we are out of stock of 7980's :oblong: I have batteries, propeller, mufflers, and rudder servo arms now, just...

Got my 7990s in the tail of the 126" Aerobeez Extra today. Had to make a pair of spacers for each side since they're deeper than standard servos. On a personal note, being sick really sucks :(

Re-maiden was a success!!! Feels better than before, arrow straight in the air. Compared to the 70cc and the foamies, this thing is a huge floater and everything happens in slow motion :D

Today has been a fairly productive and exciting day :) Ontop of re-maidening my 107" Pilot Yak 54, I came home with a new airplane hauler!!! It's a 1999 Chevy Express 2500, 117K miles, 2nd owner, 5.7L. Hauls, tons of space, very very clean. Will have a maiden voyage tomorrow!!

It's a good iron, use them for everything.

    Power boards/expanders really needed?

These are what I use in my 35%: http://www.pulsebattery.com/batteries/all-batteries/pulse-5000mah-2s-7-4v-15c-receiver-battery-lipo-battery.html I can get probably 10 hard flights off a set of them before needing to recharge, and I've got 9 servos.

I never use a dry iron tip for anything, always wet it with some solder :) (Hakko FX888D 70w iron)
