Well i just got the dx9 because i didnt like the throttle after starting the twin with the dx6i with no throttle curves. The engine started very easy and idled great but was at full throttle at 3/4 stick. Now i can also go 150% on servos and dont need to buy longer arms. Now just need to figure...

Here's some pics of the progress. Only need to Finnish some wiring and change out the opto kill for a tech aero once its delivered and go with a single battery even though its balanced perfectly with a half tank fuel with this layout so not sure if I will go single batt. Thanks for all the help...

After looking at the cowl and Clearence to the carb there doesn't seem to be any Clearence for a baffle on the 74 so if it is an issue the only option is to close it off or put a air ram on carb maybe. I also just fuel proofed and used polyurathane . The only problem I had was my o.c.d...

I am not looking forward to it my self. I think I am just going to use clear polyurathane and see how it goes. What do you think about the air with the carb intake.i think I am going to make some baffles to deflect the air to the jugs. What do you plan on doing with it?

After a few little odds and ends i plan on Breaking everything down and fuel proofing anything near fuel and go threw with some lock tite. What do u guys use for fuel proofing. I planed on some clear polyurethane. I also am not sure about the bottom hole in the cowl lining up with the carb...

Hey guys I was getting ready to install the rudder servo in the tail and am finding out that there is only two servo holes that are I am guessing for duel elevator and is not set up at all or sent with hardware for a tail rudder or am I missing something?

Ya your rite , I will order the tech aero I just got fet up with waiting and the guy talked me into some redundancy. The switch is a smart fly with two plugs out for the rec so I will keep that . And the new dx6 is just like the dx9 with 150% servo travel unlike the dx6i and a new transmitter is...

The problem is when I put the Rudder servo in the tail it is tail heavy and with it as pull pull its really close to the recommended spot with no fuel so that's why I am asking because I need to figure were to put the rudder servo but maybe I am thinking to much .

Also I was told that while setting up cg for the first time the tank should be empty. I think there should be at least a half tank to split the weight in half. What do you guys do to get the cg on a new build?

    74" Edge 540

With everything laid out in the plane except for a spinner and fuel the cg seems tail heavy with the rudder servo in the tail. It is pretty close to the recommended location with servo in pull pull location. Does this seem rite?

    74" Edge 540

Thanks and the servo lines up perfect with the throttle arm in stock position. With 16 oz tank its really close to the servo. It can only go in that spot in the motor box. I tried using a servo box but the lincage would bind in any other location so i had to put it in the motor box

    74" Edge 540

Gotcha. I have a few ideas were to install the servo but want it as far away from the engine and still be excess able. Picking up my throttle servo tomorrow so I will figure it out then.

    74" Edge 540

Don't let it bug ya just mount them in the forward position if you look at the pictures of the other guys plane it looks fine and most people prob wouldn't even know. Having a twin in this airframe is the important thing.
