NEW Video: Extra 330SC Cali Huck Santi Style!

I'm the guy flying on Motrofly 6S 6000. I am totally in love with this plane, it is fantastic! I can't find anything about it I would change. Even the color scheme is amazing. I did a public demo with this plane at our club a few weeks ago, it was great, the plane makes me look better than I...

    3dNater's Aerobeez 71" Extra 330SC

Nice flying. I have an electric version. I find it very smooth and easy to fly, seems to do everything in an easy, effortless manner. It will fly KE all day long. I'm by no means good at rolling harriers but this plane makes me look like an expert.

    Aerobeez 30cc 71" Extra 330SC

I built this plane last summer, 4330 400Kv, 20x10 Xoar, Standard size XQ Power servos all around. Running 6S 6200, it's not a powerhouse by any stretch, but it flies great, I love this plane. Balances with the pack centered on the tray. It was easy to open up the servos slots for the standard...

    Sugesstions for a 60" EF 3D plane

I built an Aerobeez 71 Extra electric with the 4330 motor last summer and it came in about $950 not factoring in taxes and various accessories, I'm loving it, it flies great. I went with XQ Power servos which were half the cost of Hitec and performing great, that's how I got it under the usual...

    Joe Smith quits 3DHS!

Well said. There is generally a black hole of sorts in RC. That time between high school graduation and the establishment of a career. Playing with toy planes is not a priority while attending college and the post college search for a job. There are things in life much more important than...

    3DHS 60" Yak-55

I hate dealing with SFG's as well but they make a world of difference on my 57 Extra and my Aerobeez 71 Extra, I won't fly without them. That's of the reason I like the Slicks, no SFG's.

    3DHS 60" Yak-55

Are there blind nuts in the wing tips for the SFG's? I hate mounting SFG's with wood screws like on the 57 Extra. I'm really interested in this plane but so far this is the only thread I know of. Nothing at RC Groups.

Help With Motor Timing and Poor Throttle Response (Gecko 120HV)

I'm flying the Motrofly 4330 with the Gecko 150A opto and I feel like I'm experiencing the same thing, power comes on slow, there should be plenty of power but it won't pull out of a hover with any authority, very sluggish. Once up to speed its fine and will go vertical without and problems. I...

    Wonky Sticks?

The right gimbal broke on my DX8 after about 2 years, it would no longer center itself. I'm thinking it could have been due to my extremely tight spring tension. I sold it to a friend cheap (he sent it in for repair) and I bough a DX8 which I love, I didn't set the spring tension quite so tight...

    Aerobeez 48" EPP Extra 330

My buddy bought one of these Extra's a couple weeks ago. He brought it to the field 90% completed. I took one look at it and knew I'd get one, so yes, came home and just ordered the green, he has the red. What impressed me was not only the build quality but the lightness of the plane. Its...

    3D Newbies

I only use Welders when the joint needs the maximum amount of strength. It turns yellow within 3-4 month. I love Foam Tac as well, nearly as strong. I'm also using BSI Foam-Cure for joints that aren't critical. The Foam-Cure is nice (cheap and easy to work with) but its definitely not as strong...

    What's Up With 3DHS??

I believe the Splendor will be discontinued or it may have already been discontinued. HH does foam well, they don't seem to be able to make a quality balsa 3D plane. Hangar 9 makes beautiful warbirds though, but that's not what we're about around here.

    What's Up With 3DHS??

Horizon Hobby is huge and not really in the same class as 3DHS or EF. I do believe 3DHS builds as many planes as possible given the contraints of doing business with a Chinese factory, plus there is the problem of filling the expensive shipping container, they aren't gonna come every few weeks...

    noob looking for advice

42 Slick all the way. Can't speak for the PA models although a club member has a couple and he complains they are built too light. I much prefer the 42 over the 41. You mentioned precision, the 42 is definitely more precise. Contrary to AKfreak, I found the 42 was more locked in post stall...

    Gecko ZTW 85 W/SBEC 8A throttle weirdness/shutdown

I have that blip occasionally after hitting throttle hold following a flight. I noticed it on my 85A and my 150A geckos. It's really odd. I haven't experienced the "no throttle response" problem, at least I don't think so. Give Altitude Hobbies a call, they are in direct contact with the Chinese...

    Aerobeez 30cc 71" Extra 330SC

Successful maiden of the 71 today. Only needed a couple clicks of trim and remarkably I had the battery spot on for the CG. I only got 2 flights in as it was pretty windy this morning (windy for a new plane). I need to play with the rates a bit the low rate roll was VERY fast the pitch and yaw...

    Aerobeez 30cc 71" Extra 330SC

Finished today, maiden sometime this week. Looks incredible, the red really pops. Build was pretty straightforward, nice kit, ever thing seems to fit great. Looks like it will balance with the 6S 6200 in the middle of the tray.
