    advantage of composite RC plane?

Guys, please excuse my ignorance, but what is the huge advantage of a composite RC plane?? I saw that the moose said that the airfame doesn`t wear out as quick...and I get that...and its lighter...I get that.. I just don`t see how a "72 inch plane can cost 2500.00? you can buy a car for that...

    The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread-

Man, I like this site...Not a bunch of guys just trying to bust your balls..you can barely post anything on other sites without like 5 guys tearing into you..I don`t do the argue internet thing. Nice to hear advice and not smart comments.

    3DHS 62" Osiris

I added a washer behind each dowel and increased the right thrust slightly...worked like a champ..I had to do the same thing on my 47...I think I may have to mix in a little down elevator/throttle mix for the downlines next weekend..Love both the Osiris. Sweet flying planes..

    3DHS 62" Osiris

Yeah, that is the hard part..I haven`t flown enough pattern planes to know how well it should track..It just seems like the upline should be pretty dead on..I`m gonna just add washers and give it some more right thrust..If I don`t like it I can always take it out..

The Official Precision Aerobatics Addiction thread!

I have to agree with this..The Addiction is a great 3D trainer...Its not as fragile as it looks and can take a beating..When you crack something you just look through the covering ,Ca it and move on..Its the easiest plane to hover and it if you want to fly 15ft. in front of you its the...

3DHS New Products and General Plane Info/Help for Fanatics

Guys, does anybody have a heads up on why the 47" Osiris is NLA? I hope the 62" isn`t next? I imagine they want to bring a low cost 2M to the market? I have had a problem with my last few 3dhs shops planes being slightly messed up as well..My 47" had a cracked cowl(they replaced), my first 62"...

How many years have you been in the hobby?

I have been active in a club about 3 years...before that I flew at parks..I have been in and out of hobby stuff since I was 10(41 now).. I used to fly 1/2a control line as well as race 1/12 scale rc cars ...Best thing I ever did as far as this goes is join a club...My grandfather got me into it...

    3DHS 62" Osiris

You can program some brake in, like 20% to slow your downline speed down.. Thats what they said in the higher plane dvd...I`m not good enough to notice much difference. The medium timing seems to work fine for my hacker, but you didn`t say what motor you were running..

    battery tray failure

I want to say the large...It was a 5 cell 5000ma..I`m getting some new ones in and I`ll pm you the correct size..love the straps....

    battery tray failure

That is why I was using the tool box liner...It stopped i from sliding...About a 1 inch. strip along the center..didn`t work here..A battery 3/4 the size of a brick has some pretty good mass it seems..

    battery tray failure

Yeah, I agree.. the velcro would have spread it out...I just don`t like it for reasons like I said..It didn`t the work the way I had it.. I had been using tool box liner that prevented the battery from sliding and 2 straps on my 51" slick with no problems..I got lazy on the 62" and just used one...

    battery tray failure

Guys, has anybody lost a plane from battery tray failure..My 62" Osiris went down this weekend because of it and I even lost the battery..I did a snap roll and it broke the battery out and disconnected it.. Plane and battery are dead.. I was using one scorpion strap holding the battery on the...
