Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Thanks Cody! Maybe we can hook up at Nall next year. I would love to see you wring her out!

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

B and E Graphics. I went for a minimalist look on the graphics from B and E. I really wanted to try to mimic the graphics from a full scale Edge but they are all covered with advertising these days!

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Haha. All that work and expense (spray paint, sanding, ultracote trim tape) that I put into that cowl blister and I ended up ditching it for a sticker! LOL

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Thank you. It is really easy to do. Thanks to Hone1r for the craft foam idea.

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Yes I am. I figure why not. I probably won't need it with the rather huge cutout for cooling air but the craft foam and tiny carbon fiber strips for rigidity that I use for the baffling weighs next to nothing so why not. Here's the cutout and a pic of the baffling on my 78" Extra 40cc twin.

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Thank's guys. I wish I could take credit for the idea but my good friend Matt suggested the spoon idea.

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Here is the embarrassing cut for my plug cap. Here is the blister that I fashioned from part of a plastic spoon. It is just taped in place here. I'm going to glue it on with some Welders adhesive. Not perfect but looks much better to me than the gaping maw!

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

I learned from your experience and did cut the carb hole like you did. These pics were taken before the cowl was finished. I was not happy with the slit that I cut on the left side of the cowl. It was not nearly as clean as yours. Actually it looked like a 4th grader cut it! I have...

Extreme Flight RC 91" Yak 54 build

+1 here. I have tried to overwrite old models in the list and my receiver would not even bind. Put the new setup in an empty (newer used) spot.

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Mine is done. Fired her up today and after fighting with my small twin to get it to start the first time it was a pleasure to flip it three times to pop and two to run! What a sweet running engine. If the weather cooperates this weekend should be a blast! Mejz 24X10 standard. Da-70 on stock...

Extreme Flight RC 91" Yak 54 build

I use metal push rods and plastic ball links on all my gassers and never had a problem. Perhaps it is a connection as mentioned before that is bad and exacerbated by the vibration of the engine running. You will have to test it again with the engine running to know for sure. You really have to...

    Savox SV1270

I have the 1270s in my 78" Extra and I am installing a set in my 88" Edge as well. No complaints so far. They are very fast and center well. I am running them at 7.4 volts through a Spektrum 9110 Powersafe receiver. Extremely strong.

Thanks for posting that guys. Just checked mine to make sure there is no way the elevator can cam over like that.

    78'' Extra

Thank you. It's a 3 1/2" CF from Troy Built Models. It has a very beefy backplate. I ordered another 4 inch for my 88" Edge.

    78'' Extra

Could you guys share what happened? I have mine setup per the manual but I am using longer 1 3/4" arms and 70mm turnbuckles (stock are 60mm) I'm getting tons of throw without getting even close to binding or any geometry problems.
