    Fun fact the carbon pipe weighed like a tenth of an ounce more the my stock muffler. Granted I didn't add the header weight to see what the overall extra weight was. But the sound and it being quiet far outweighed the weight concern.

    I loved my carbon pipe on my dle55 in a 88 edge. Quiet sounds good plenty of power anywhere in the rpm range and the damn pipe only weighs 4.7oz. Not nearly enough weight to bitch about compared to pro flows or even regular cans. Anyone really botching about weight hasn't held a carbon tuned pipe.

    What is the max number of channels generally needed for giant scale?

    If you use matchboxes on the ailerons you'll free up 2 channels on the 9. And have one to spar. If my understanding of how they works is correct any way. 1 matchbox for each wing

    A foamy is your best first 3d bird. Most of them all fly relatively the same so go somewhat cheap on your first as you'll likely smacking it into the ground regularly.

    I use a start stand that pounds into the ground or into a pic pipe at the field. It holds the tail solid while you flip. Pull the plane back and the arms drop automatically. $50 at vvrc.
