    well , well, well, you were RIGHT till your last paragraph......AMA Chartered clubs have insurance thru their membership, If the owner of the land requires it, the AMA, will give that landowner a certificate of insurance... but the coverage comes from the individual members... homeowners...

    Actually I think THIS would be the wrong way to go.....I believe we NEED to police ourselves, since the true drones caused this mess.... next time you see a true drone in the sky flying where they shouldn't, or flying in a way that they shouldn't, call 911 and call it in, and let local law...

    That is a good question,, I had a meeting with my insurance broker to get a new HC plan at 11:30 this morning, no access to the site (busy) and phone was also busy (left phone # for callback) still waiting for callback.

    Funny thing is, there are several high and mighty members here that say how well the AMA and its members are law abiding and safe ...... but are also willing to NOT register their aircraft, breaking a federal law, and fly anyway........ go figure.

    just a reply to think about, what is the penalty for not putting your AMA # on/in your aircraft.........??????............. but for not putting your FAA reg # on your aircraft you cann be fined up to $27500..... which would you MAKE sure is on/in your aircraft before flying......     I have seen you post this earlier...... how is the FAA requirement to register sUAS illegal..... show me...... but I will let you know beforehand that the authorization to register ALL aircraft was implemented before sec 336, they just chose not to enforce it until now.....it's not a new law...

    The AMA does not "charter" fields either...... they ONLY charted clubs..... the AMA does not care where that club flies, and never has..... so the perception that AMA Chartered clubs only fly at an AMA approved specific site is wrong....... I know many AMA members that fly their park fliers...

I AM NOT SAYING THAT WE ARE IDIOTS FLYING, I AM JUST CLEARING UP A MISCONCEPTION THAT AMA CLUBS AND ITS MEMBERS ONLY FLY AT A AMA CHARTERED CLUBS SPECIFIC FIELD...... THE AMA DOES...
