    57 SC Discussion

Yeah someone mentioned the hitec 7245 mh servos as the ticket @ 7.4v but I'm thinking that's a ton of money for this size plane - would rather stick the extra into the Bigfoot this summer - or a larger plane if money frees up a bit. Might look for a hitec equivalent on the same magnitude - maybe...

    57 SC Discussion

Ok with xmas money burning a hole in my proverbial pocket - I'm going to build one of these birds. So far this is what I'm thinking - Motrofly 4315-714 with lightened alum. mount, 100A ESC (wither Gecko or CC Ice Lite 100), pushing a 15x8 (or 15x7) prop. on Glacier 4s 4000 (assuming...

    3DHS 92" Edge 540 (Electric Build)

Sweet, can't wait to see how this electric setup works. Our field won't allow gas so this may be an option once I get my skills up. Like your choice of electronics - how massive is that motor :)

    Aerobeez New 71" Extra330!

Nice! - just make sure to let the RN draw the plasma - tried to use a prop once and it was a bit messy...:)

    3DHS 42" slick

This slick has taught me a lot and is pretty tough to boot. I'm looking for something bigger to handle the wind a bit better and I'm thinking either the 51 or 59 slick, just based on how well this bird flys.

    3DHS 42" slick

Buddy the elf decided that the 42" Slick was pretty awesome too...still don't know how he got himself into that canopy without assistance..:)

Twisted Hobbys Crack Laser, with a few new build tips

I'll have to get the beaver soon for some night pulling...we have a few guys that take the LED gliders out to the local park at night and that would be a trip...thought about doing that with the funcub - but the beaver may be the better ticket for the small gliders...great suggestion. I'm like...

    Precision Flight Tutorials Episode 3!

Brian, Thanks for the great tutorials - I'm a relatively new pilot and this is very helpful in cleaning up my lines (most is intuitive and requires practice) but it is nice to get the step-wise progression on each of the moves as well as seeing the stick movements. I've watched your first 3...

    Best 3s 2200mAh?

I have converted all my HK packs to the Glacier 2200s 35C (buddyrc.com)- although they aren't sub $20 they are just a hair above that. These batteries perform as good as any I've tried so far, even the more expensive brands. I have about 30 cycles on them so far have not had one puff or lose...

    Twisted Hobbys 32" Crack Laser!

Just maidened mine today...love this flat foamie...great in a stiff breeze too. Even landed in a tree for the first time - trying to show off to my visiting in-laws...guess that backfired but it was worth the laugh. Plucked the prop out of the leaves and threw it back up without even a scratch.

Twisted Hobbys Crack Laser, with a few new build tips

I finished the build - followed cody's suggestions and it was a very simple, straight, and easy build. Maidened the plane today - awesome flat foamie...best I've ever flown - had a few others (although none from TH) and they flew ok but this plane is awesome. It can even handle a decent...

Put a face to that name!

Thanks SnowDog & Hosam - just started flying about a year ago and am seriously hooked...love 3d but not very good yet - kids love to watch but only last a few minutes so getting pics with them is rare...can't wait to share with them all the fun this hobby can bring (and of course all the family...

    New Here? Introduce yourself!

Hey all, I'm here from Sunny and ofter windy California. I've recently been bitten by the 3D bug - I'm an intermediate pilot at best...but learning quickly. Try to fly as much as my 1 and 3 yr. old let me. I've amassed a few planes - some of which I don't have the skill to fly but that won't...
