    Pull Pull Rudder slack/slop

I think that unless you have the perfect geometry Lojick is talking about, there will be some slop on the side not being deflected when the rudder servo is turned. I may need a correction on that statement, though. Other than that, there should be virtually no noticeable slop in the system. It...

    The Knife Edge Spin

I use fraps.com. I have the un-registered version, which is why my clip is only 30 seconds long. Once you download it, just use the video capture hotkey to start recording.

    The Knife Edge Spin

jmart95 In the spirit of friendly competition, I attempted to one-up you. I switch from an outside spin (admittedly poor compared to yours) to an inside spin in the same maneuver. The positive angle of attack of the inside KE spin allows the plane to transition into a positive flat spin on the...

    The Knife Edge Spin

Knife Edge Spin from MAN This is how I do it: down EL with Rudder same direction as roll, in the case of the pic, left. Then, inverted blender, which would mean switch rudder from left to right.

    The Knife Edge Spin

BB I just worked out on the simulator that as you give opposite rudder for an inside KE Spin (Up elevator), rudder in the same direction will put you in an outside spin. Exactly opposite from the rudder inputs used for inside vs outside snap rolls.

    New Here? Introduce yourself!

pedro.ochoa.urrea Welcome, thanks for saying hi. When you ask people here how they got really good at 3D, most of them will tell you that they are still trying to get really good at 3D! The flight simulators are really good for practicing basic orientation like how to use your rudder while...

    The Lomcevak

Welcome, Pedro! As far as cheap foamys go, nitroplanes sells some for dirt cheap like this one. I personally prefer TwistedHobbys foamies. For more, go ahead and introduce yourself and post some questions here

    Aeroworks 30cc Laser 200 ARF-QB

I really like the flat plate tail and rigging, very impressive scale features for a modern aerobatic ARF!

    New Here? Introduce yourself!

When talking about rudder inputs while flying inverted, I always use the learning method used by heli guys, which is to use the rudder stick to push the part of the fuselage closest to you. Helis are good for learning orientation since they fly around in any orientation, and often there's no...

    New Here? Introduce yourself!

I went from flying helis to airplanes and it's made all the difference for me. It's a completely different hobby, and I personally enjoy it more. I find my money goes a lot farther with fixed wing RC and it's a little more laid back and a lot less stressful.

    3DHS 60" Yak-55

7245s run beautifully on unregulated lipo power as well. I have no problem running a 500 2S, though the servos will jitter with no fuzzy velcro on the counterbalance gap.

One other thing, sometimes removing your Rx from its case is an option for shedding weight depending on how it is constructed.

    The Lomcevak

I know this is an older thread, don't mean to show anyone up. Here's my method. It really helps me to initiate a crank or lomcevak with a dead simple aileron roll. I then add elevator and rudder like an over exaggerated snap roll. Think about a snap roll that's so deep it turns your plane into a...

    The Snap Turn

jmart95 your 48 will be awesome for outside snaps. I like to snap with high rate aileron and mid or low elevator. That helps a lot to keep from getting to deep in the snap. Also, I experiment with taking out elevator input toward the end of the snap. I gleaned this from Jesky's all things slick...

    Discussion Choosing an air frame----frustrations!

I use 2S LiPo or 10A BEC with HV servos, like the one in the 64" MXS build video. I know the ZTW's have very robust BEC's and I recommend them to anyone, but my BEC is toasted. I use a 2S 500mAh in my Laser EXP and it's fantastic. Using an Rx battery is not a redundant system, and it is a lot...
