    The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread-

Shout out to Rob YellowJacketsRC !! I didn't see 2s 3300s on his site but shot him a PM and he is going to have a couple made for me. Great service! That, and I've been beating the snot out of his 4s 2600s all season and they're still like new! Impressive lipos for sure!

    Sugesstions for a 60" EF 3D plane

It was a savox, possibly too big. Here is a different savox that is low profile. Again, pricey compared to what he is looking at though. Also it barely meets the torque requirement at 125oz-in http://www.savoxusa.com/Savox_SC1251MG_Digital_Servo_p/savsc1251mg.htm

Naw I had a recommendation but they're pricey and he may need a low profile servo

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

I think I can still get more than 45 degrees but yeah they were acting as air brakes when doing rifle rolls at 50 degrees. I would go to an even smaller arm but I think it would mess up the geometry. I'm close to 100% endpoints but have 140% available.

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

Made some adjustments on my aileron setup. I was getting 50 degrees of throw with the 1.5" spot on arms and my endpoints were not even maxed so I moved them to the 1.25" hole. Now I'm much closer to 100% on my endpoints and still am getting 45 degrees of throw. Using the Savox 1270s. Sorry...

    Joe Smith quits 3DHS!

71" Slick is tiny compared to the 78" Extra and 76" MXS. Trust me I've had them all. EF uses UPS and gives you the dimensions of the box on there site. Enter the dimensions in the UPS shipping calculator and you'll get it. I'll have to take a pic next time I unbox one but they aren't wasting...

Sorry about your Extra, Ole. Hope you get it fixed soon. Sounds like it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Lets definitely get together soon!! I just got 5 flights today on my MXS and it's flying great. Floats in 3d but does great XA too!

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

That's how I had my twin set up in the Extra. Loved how simple it was to reach in and flip the choke. No problem :) The v2 secraft arms are holding up great. I don't have many flights on the MXS but on my Slick I've been beating them hard for over a year without any issues.

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

I used them on my MXS too but for their intended purpose of keeping the rubber grommets from getting deformed. Here is a pic of my aileron servo(also using them on my elevator servos). On my Slick I placed them under the grommets for spacing.

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

I had a similar problem on my 120cc EG Slick using 2 of the tall savox servos on the rudder. I used some of these to space out my servos http://store.aztechaeromodels.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=61_67&product_id=71 I'm not sure you'd get 1/4" spacing unless you use 2 on the...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

Thanks! Took me a while to get the bell crank all set up and working properly. For the throttle servo I mounted it using a SpotOnRC side servo mount. http://store.aztechaeromodels.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&filter_name=side%20mount&product_id=458 The wing nut is my fuel dot. I...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

I had something similar and my choke almost vibrated shut. I lost about 50% power a few minutes into my flight. Pretty much the only reason I switched to a bell crank. I also must admit that while that way is easier to set up, ease of use goes to the bell crank. No more reaching through the...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

Got my bell crank done. I used the linkage that's provided for the throttle since I made my own linkage out of a cf rod, turnbuckles, and ball links for the use on the throttle. I used one of the round servo arms that came with my savox servos and screwed that to a dowel that I glued to the...

    Extreme Flight 76/83" MXS

No worries I'll find the pics :) I'll probably work on it in the morning and take the plane out for a spin in the afternoon. I'm waiting for you to pick up one of those 3dhs 75" Extras so I can hear your thoughts on how they compare. I've stayed away from 3dhs for a while but that plane might...

I'll post pics as soon as I get it set up. Hopefully I can make it work without interfering with my throttle linkage
