clarkj I wouldn't wish a lay off on anyone. However, since retiring from the Air Force I have been laid off 3 times. (I used to be in IT) Each time I have landed in a better place than I left. And being a God fearing man you know the saying. HE will never give you more than you can handle...

    Warbird Wheels

Here is a cool video of how to add wheels to a plane that may have the retracts or wheels attached to a wing. It will simplify transporting, working on the bird in the shop or doing an engine run with the wing off. Enjoy! http://www.flyingrc.net/wrbrdwhls.html

AEROWORKS - New Engine Line up!

Interesting that the carbs come off the back of some of the twin cylinders. That makes for some long stand-offs and quite a bit of pressure on the firewall. The feedback I've heard on these motors has all been positive. Definitely worth a look.

Welcome Grey, All of the radio brands are very good quality. Just about everyone is using 2.4GHz now although it is not uncommon to find older radios in use. At our flying field you will probably see a 50/50 mix of Futaba and Spektrum radios. I went with Spektrum because that is what the...

Ecoboost was avail. I test drove one. Acceleration was awesome! Fuel mileage is no good when towing. You could only get the small wheels and tires which didn't look good on the truck. I was really worried about the maint costs of the twin turbos too. Other items that turned me off. The...

I bought a new 2015 Ford F-150 crew cab with the V8 engine. This thing rides so smooth. (how smooth you ask?) So smooth that I had no idea I was doing 82 mph on my way back from lunch today. The friendly officer with the pretty flashing lights was nice enough to let me know that the speed...

The Decathlon started life with a DLE 35RA and flew "scale". The EME takes it more to the over-powered arena and makes it so that you can hammer the throttle to get out of trouble if necessary.

The motor is fine. I ripped the gear out of the Decathlon and damaged the belly with a little off runway excursion. Should be a quick fix once I find the time to work on it.
