They all build essentially the same.

Aerobeez 70″ Slick PRO Step By Step Build Guide

My 6S 5000 mah 55C Thunder Power packs are pretty stupid strong.

Aerobeez 70″ Slick PRO Step By Step Build Guide

5000 mah batteries compared to what? I thought yours was setup for 12S.

Aerobeez 70″ Slick PRO Step By Step Build Guide

I always order my Motrofly motors without connectors, it saves you money on the purchase. I use Castle 6mm bullet connectors on this size motor, I do not trust those spring style bullets that come stock.

Aerobeez 70″ Slick PRO Step By Step Build Guide

I would get into serious trouble if my Slick was on 12S

Redwing 30cc Extra 300SC Electric Motor Choice?

So you don't want the MF 4330? On 10S or 12S it should be a beast. I have one on my 71 Extra but I'm only running 6S, it has good power but not much punch-out from hover. The 70 Slick with the same power system is a different animal being that it's a good 1-2 pounds less.

    48" Extra 330 EPP

That is more than a change of mind!

    48" Extra 330 EPP

Should work fine, although the 4S 2700 will be much too heavy. I use 3S 2650's and I feel they are at the upper end as far as weight for 3D flying, it's light and floaty on 3S 2200's. For comparison sake, I use 4S 2700's in the Aerobeez 55 Edge, which is actually a MUCH larger airplane. -Brian

Aerobeez 38" EPP Slick 540 Build Thread!

It goes like stink on the thin electric but it does much better 3D with the SF, much better low RPM thrust, which is what Xpress was alluding to.

Aerobeez 38" EPP Slick 540 Build Thread!

My buddy and I have tried both slow fly and thin electric and think it flies best on SF 11x4.7.

Love your description of the precision, so true! Try some snap rolls, you'll feel like an IMAC champion they way it stops on a dime.

    Bavarian Demon Cortex

I not sure why it's taking so long or why you don't immediately love it. I've always used low rate expo of 10% and high rate expo of 25%, pretty much works on all my planes. I used a Cortex in 7 different airframes and it's pretty much the same setup every time. I never feel it fighting me, most...

Aerobeez 38" EPP Slick 540 Build Thread!

I find that it's actually more fun than the 48" models, it comes with me every trip to the field. I'll be installing the light kit really soon.

3DMIKE, what motor are you planning on running? I'm using the Omega 72g, it has insane power, on this little plane :)

    Bavarian Demon Cortex

I find it turns the SlickPro into a precision monster. I'll use my Cortex that gets transferred from plane to plane for the AB 64 MXS-R, it will share duties with my 60 EF Yak. It's very easy to move between planes since the gain is in the transmitter. Just mount it with Dual-lock Velcro. As far...

Nice Bushwacker, now you can see it's not that difficult after you get over that initial hump of something so different. Hope you love the Cortex as much as I do.

Bushwacker, you must have missed it one of the PM's, I have three USB cables, I can sell you one cheap.

    Bavarian Demon Cortex

Without seeing how it was connected it's hard to diagnose the issue. From the sounds of it, it seems you had the connections backwards, but if that was the case your control surfaces would not be moving correctly, regardless of the Cortex. When you teach it the throws, timing is very...
