30 cc plane: Tomcat G160 motor - anyone have one?

I just put a Tomcat G90 in my Aerobeez 64 MXS-R, I've only got two flights on it. It seems like a nice motor, but also seems a little under powered for a G90. It only cost me $59 so I took a chance, certainly seems like a much more expensive motor.

    Aerobeez Banshee Update

I saw that on the Facebook page, pretty great, comes on the heals of the SlickPro cover plane ;)

    Aerobeez Banshee Update

Successful! It flew well, had the CG pretty much spot on the first flight and it needed just a single click of elevator trim. Flew it on 6S 4000, I only have two of those packs so it was just two quick flights. My setup won't balance with 5000's and I don't want to add tail weight. I'll be...

Yeah, and it amazes me that its possible:veryshocked: The 78 Extra would be a better fit for my vehicle.

    Aerobeez Banshee Update

I think I will like it. I bought some 6S 4000 Glacier packs for it. It just will not balance with my 5000's without adding tail weight and I think 3300's would be too small. If I was using standard servos I have not doubt that it would balance fine with the 5000.

    Aerobeez Banshee Update

Well, I'd love a Banshee... But, it's too big to fit in my car. Wouldn't be to practical to attempt to jam it in there. I'm looking at getting the 77/78" Extra when it comes out, that should fit. Do a 12S setup on it. Hoping to maiden my 64 MXS-R tomorrow, that's the plan anyway....

    Aerobeez Banshee Update

Probably the much taller rudder makes it look bigger.

Aerobeez 38" EPP Slick 540 Build Thread!

I think the red scheme is great, don't change it. The black one is cool but the problem seems to be the black paint doesn't hold up well, I think the sweat from hands smudges it. Maybe something like yellow/blue or black/yellow like the 55.

Nice, removable rudder would be helpful :)

    Aerobeez Banshee Update

I'm partial to the Extra as well (I love Extras), I think it may be the best looking plane on the market. Unfortunately, given storage and transport issues, it's too larger for me.

    30cc 50cc Ultimate 20-300 Electric conversion

That particular member has batteries coming out his ears! He's been flying large electrics for years so he built up quite collection of 6S 5000 packs AND he just ordered 10 more yesterday during the TP 40% off sale.

    30cc 50cc Ultimate 20-300 Electric conversion

Yep that is the major issue with biplane electric conversions. A club member managed to do an electric conversion on a 100cc Beast but that plane has a huge canopy hatch that opens up much like a monoplane, he is able to get his four 6S 5000's in there, yes that's right 12S 10,000 mah, two in...

    30cc 50cc Ultimate 20-300 Electric conversion

I don't think it would be possible for lack of a battery tray, where you gonna put the pack? The 50cc model looks like there might be room for your batteries, that one has a canopy hatch.
