    Question? 25, 30, or 35C?

That's what I figured. If the recommended ESC is 100A then someone has figured out the motor and prop doesn't need more than 100A. So, a 20C battery should be ok. I have some 25C batteries and a couple of 30C ones. I just wanted to make sure I would be ok with a 20C battery if I chose to go that...

    Question? 25, 30, or 35C?

Here's a newbie question: How do I know if I need a 25, 30 or 35C discharge rate battery? I am flying a couple of 35C 6S 5000mah batteries in my 65" Vyper but I could save some money if I bought a lower discharge rate battery. Rick

I have this app and it is great. Too bad IAC doesn't have something like it. :)

IMAC learning and support using flight videos

I work at KMEM for an airline that has purple tails. Those pictures of the hangar full of planes is from our IAC contest last May. Our box is at Grenada,MS about 70 miles south of Memphis. I stopped flying models about 20 years ago to build a couple of homebuilt airplanes. I just started back...

    Precision Flight Tutorials Episode 6!

Excellent video and instruction. The only comment I have is that you described the 1/2 Cuban as a 3/8s loop. It is actually a 5/8s loop. Just a slip of the tongue I'm sure. Rick

IMAC learning and support using flight videos

The flight school that I used to manage had a CAP10. Great airplane! Really enjoyed flying it. Most of my competition was in a Decathlon and a RANS Chaos that I built back in the 80's. Now, I just help put on a couple of contests per year and run our local IAC chapters web site...

I'll be glad to help with this. I called for a TOC competitor 6 years in a row and drew his freestyles. I am active in IAC and experienced with Aresti. Regards, Rick Pellicciotti

I've managed to get 5 flights on the Vyper and it is great! Flew very well and I am really glad I chose it.

    65" Vyper Discussion Thread

It took a lot of patience but waiting another week paid off. I flew the airplane for the first time on Saturday. It was pretty windy but I found the airplane to fly straight right off the board, maybe a click of aileron trim and a couple of clicks of elevator. I had the battery fairly forward...

    65" Vyper Discussion Thread

Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate. It was too windy and a little drizzle. So, I will have to wait another day or two to try it out. Thanks again to everyone who has been so helpful with the information. I am looking forward to it! I have one question about the velcro straps...

Thanks for the tip on the straps. I found them at Home Depot. She's all put together, CG checked and ready to go! Very windy today but tomorrow looks promising. Rick

These pics are very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to post them. Do you get the Velcro cinch straps at Home Depot or is it just raw velcro on a roll? As a side note, I am very impressed with the quality of this kit. It is very light, built straight and everything fits together well. Rick

    65" Vyper Discussion Thread

I got the soldering done. Thanks for the tips. Got a good fit of motor, spinner and cowling. Gave it the smoke test and actually spun the motor for the first time. I sure would like to see some pictures of how others have mounted their ESCs and their receivers. I would also like to explore...
