Wow proof that terry once flew a slimer. Though I love the sound of my piped OS55ax nothing beats the sound of a 4 stroke.

Oh crap.....I had a truck with a shelf and I could fit 5 slimmers and two gallons of glow fuel in there. I'd come home when it was gone every Saturday I could. I think I went through an average of 5 gallons a month one summer.

Wow spending some money on glow there. I have only used about 3/4 of a gallon all year this year. I need to get out and fly more. Found I can fly my 40 size profiles in my front yard but I don't think the neighbor appreciates a piped 46 or 55 two stroke nitro engine at 7:30AM.

I have a couple customers that have recently started switching to electric for this very reason. Too many neighbors complaining about the noise.

LOL yeah well I'm out in the boonies so they really can't do anything about it but I usually try to play nice. Still not near as bad as them running hopped up dirt bikes on the track they built in the middle of the day when I'm trying to sleep since I work nights.
I actually do like the smells, sounds, and power you can get out of glow but damn the cost of the fuel and the mess to clean up. I have gotten to were my mojo 40 is so beat up I don't clean it anymore.

You and me both brother. I only used a little less than 7 gallons of gas since August of 2014. I'm flying 50cc so it's only about 14 ounces a flight, but still that's not much flying.

Yes, the cost is crazy. Not any cheaper to mix it either unless you buy more than 15 gallons of nitro at a time. Shipping is an absolute killer. I bought a couple gallons a few years ago and even with having a 55 gallon drum of alky and tons of castor sitting around, it was still cheaper to go down to the LHS to buy it. Of course you can't get exactly the mix what you want all the time, but hey, it's fun to mix it up. Of course alky by the drum is only about $2.50/gallon. Too bad small nitro motors don't run well on FAI fuel! Ahh, the memories.
