You're a funny guy there Snoops. I really do appreciate the offer, however I do quite fine spending money by myself. I just laid down $1,000 for that new radio system. Ugh. But I really wanted it so yeah. I highly doubt I will be changing my warbird selection. I have been wanting to do this big mustang for way too many years. Something about a Stang that just drives me wild. I really do want to do that P-40 that is here on GSN. But I do see a big round cowl war bird with a Moki radial in the future. I have done the 3D thing. And though I enjoy it, I am really missing the warbirds. Of course you know they will be big. LOL

I know what you mean I had a few war birds but all to small and got way to heavy for the size. And difficult to fly and retracts were a pain nobody at the time built anything decent. The biggest I ever had was one with Saito 90 it was Hurricane scratch built 72 inch wingspan. But I must say when you are JoeNall these boys know what war birds are all abou. Every time I go there by the time it is time to go home I am just want to start a big as war bird and chase those guys down the runway as low and fast as it will go close to the ground as possible. If I got interested enough it would be a Bearcat looks mean.

Thanks guys! That motor is not on Valach USA's website. My flying buddy Tony is considering a Carf Pitts with a radial as a winter project. I'll tell him about this. @acerc have you heard good things about the reliability of the 250?

All but the 800 is on Vogelsangs website, the 800 is more or less a special order and from my understanding is built at that time. I have a couple Valachs and dealt with several others personally and converse with other owners on overseas forums. Not knocking any other brand, simply put, Valach is hands down the best four stroke gas engine made be it a single, boxer, or radial. They all start the same way, 4 flips choke and one sometimes two flips no choke. They, to the best of my knowledge, have never had an issue with ignition modules, cams, timing, bearings, etc. etc. The only drawback to the Valach line is the crankcase vent, it does disburse some oil. An oil catch works well and the amount of oil decreases with break in to a point of not being an issue. I consider this as knowing the internals are getting well lubricated.
