Hey guys I got a 30cc slick today to build for a buddy. but i have one question I noticed a carbon fiber tube that goes from the root to the tip of the wing and at the tip of the wing it is open what is this for

Is it a square tube? Could you post a picture? I've never really paid attention.

Hey Blake
This was open on ours too. It is a carbon fiber reinforcement rod. I thought it was just open on ours as it was the one they photographed at the warehouse for us and they wanted to show the CF reinforcement.

Were all of yours like this? You can cover it and we can send you some free film if you want. but it certainly shouldn't affect flight

We are incorporating more CF and strengthening/lightening features to our planes all the time. this is one (I guess they were proud and wanted to show it off :)

man this is my second redwing plane to build and i have to say i am impressed tim has some great airplanes I cant wait to get my 50cc slick when the new shipment comes in
