Extremely clean looking build there Ido. Fantastic job!

I built one of these for a friend and really enjoyed it when he let me fly it. Great plane, I may have to build my own with a setup similar to yours. Of course it flies great stock but it looks like you're taking yours to the next level.

Just flew my Extra with some custom made SFGs I put on it last night. It's a whole different airplane! It harriers effortlessly now and knife edges all day long. I can't believe I decided not to put the SFGs on at the start.

I plan to order one of these soon. I plan to order the crack power combo as well. It calls for a 1800-2200mah battery and has a 45A ESC. I haven't seen any data on it yet but it must be running close or over 30A at WOT. I hate pulling that many amps off a 1800mah battery even if it has the Cs for it. I would rather run higher volts and less amps. Has anybody tried this with a smaller prop and a 4 cell?

I had a Twisted 48" sbach a while back, and 3s was plenty. Don't forget, you want a big prop to wash plenty of air over the tail when you are low/slow.

With 32" foamies you are looking for a 24 gram motor (2204). If you run it on 3s, you wasn't a 8x4" ish prop, and on 2s a 9x4" ish prop. I have tried a 9x4 prop on 3s and it was way too much and made everything too hot. This is just what I have found, ymmv.

Hey 3drcforums members;),

I fly the Extra 330sc from Telink for almost 2 years now and i have learnt many things from its flight....
I changed the battery and picked up a Gens Ace 3S 1800mah 40C with the same setup,no problems until now and really good times with the EV stuff even if i reduced the battery's capacity.....
More efficient throttle now,and more importantly,i'm lighter than before.....

Flying the Telink ExtraVaganza in the sea sunset.
Hope you liked it,if you have any questions please feel free to contact me....
